Dr. Sreevalsa has been nominated to Tamil Nadu Dam Safety Expert Panel

Dr. Sreevalsa Kolathayar, Associate Professor, Department of Civil Engineering, National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK), Surathkal, has been nominated as a Member of the Independent Panel of Experts for Comprehensive Dam Safety Evaluation constituted by the Government of Tamil Nadu under the Dam Safety Act, 2021. The panel has been entrusted with carrying out comprehensive safety evaluations of 86 dams across the state and comprises eminent experts from premier institutions and national organizations in the fields of dam engineering, hydrology, hydro-mechanical systems, seismology, geology, instrumentation, and structural design. Dr. Kolathayar has been nominated as the Geotechnical Expert on the panel.
